Dan has spent his life immersed in the marine world — from commercial longlining as a kid in Taranaki, to chasing marlin and tuna offshore, to earning a Master’s Degree in Marine Science and building a 20+ year career as a marine environmental consultant. Combining deep technical knowledge with hands-on fishing experience, Dan shares his passion by showcasing the best gear and techniques to help others catch more fish, look after their catch, and enjoy safer, more successful days on the water.
